Operations Assistant (Warehouse)

Warehouse Operations

• Perform inbound receiving including inspection, quantity verification, and documentation checks.
• Execute put-away, picking, kitting, packing, and staging activities according to operational instructions.
• Ensure materials are stored correctly following FIFO, serial number, expiry, and storage requirements.
• Label bins, pallets, and storage locations accurately.
• Support urgent shipments and missing part handling.
• Maintain warehouse housekeeping standards (5S) and optimize space utilization.
• Report material discrepancies, damages, or shortages promptly.

Inventory Control

• Support cycle counts, periodic stock checks, and annual physical inventory.
• Ensure inventory movements are accurately captured in system records.
• Monitor shelf-life materials and support write-off processes where required.
• Maintain proper storage conditions including temperature and safety requirements.
• Assist in minimizing obsolete or excess inventory.

Administrative & System Support

• Perform SAP/WMS transactions including goods receipt, reservations, quotation updates, and inventory transactions.
• Validate vendor quotations and purchase order details for accuracy.
• Prepare and maintain delivery notes, packing lists, and operational documentation.
• Update operational status and maintain accurate system records.
• Generate reports and assist planners or buyers with administrative data extraction.
• Liaise with internal teams (Finance, Planning, SAP support) to resolve discrepancies or system issues.
• Support audit activities and compliance documentation.

Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Follow all warehouse safety procedures, security controls, and company policies.
• Ensure proper handling of materials and equipment to prevent damage or injury.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.
• Support cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Material Handling Equipment (MHE) – Added Advantage

• Operate forklift or reach truck safely where certified and authorized.
• Assist in loading, unloading, and internal material movements using MHE.
• Perform daily inspection and basic maintenance of assigned equipment.

• Highly motivated to learn new processes, receive feedback and work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and able to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines.
• Minimal supervision to complete tasks, highly trainable and approachable.
• Professional working attitude.
• Local communication skills are an advantage.
