Operations Associate
You will support the day-to-day operations of the Techstars Alabama EnergyTech accelerator program from August through December 2026. You will engage with founders, coordinate mentors and partners, plan activities and events, manage office logistics, create program materials, manage LinkedIn updates, support marketing efforts, travel with the cohort during program opportunities in Alabama, and represent Techstars in the local community.
Responsibilities
- Engage with founders and plan activities, meetings, and events
- Coordinate mentor, corporate partner, founder, and sponsor visits
- Follow program content and curriculum best practices
- Plan events and manage operational execution
- Support in-person program trips and Demo Day
- Manage office logistics
- Create presentation decks, Eventbrite registration pages, digital graphics, and branded assets
- Manage the program’s LinkedIn page
- Post program updates and highlight founder successes
- Travel with the cohort during program opportunities in Alabama
- Represent Techstars in the local community
Requirements
- 1-3 years in a fast-paced project or program management-focused position
- Strong interest in technology, startups, entrepreneurship, and venture capital
- Attention to detail
- Experience in event planning and event logistics
- Comfort with a variety of responsibilities
- Ability to work with minimal direction while meeting high expectations
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Currently living in the Birmingham area
