Rotating On-call: Saturday and Sunday for Driver Delivery Exceptions

Position Summary
Scout is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive team member to oversee and coordinate nationwide delivery operations using DispatchTrack. This role ensures seamless logistics by routing deliveries, maintaining communication with drivers and clients, and optimizing delivery schedules to meet Scout’s high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Route and schedule furniture deliveries to clients across the U.S. using NetSuite and DispatchTrack.
- Serve as the main point of contact for delivery drivers—supporting real-time updates, changes, or issues during transit.
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding ETAs, delivery windows, and changes.
- Monitor live delivery progress and troubleshoot delays or routing issues.
- Coordinate with Scout’s warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure product readiness and delivery accuracy.
- Analyze delivery data and optimize routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with delivery procedures and customer service standards.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, exceptions, and resolutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in Scout’s delivery systems and client experience.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (Recent grads are highly encouraged to apply!).
- Tech-Savvy Adaptability: Quick to learn new platforms; familiarity with DispatchTrack or similar routing software is a major plus, but a high comfort level with modern tech and digital tools is a must.
- Chaos Wrangling: Ability to keep a cool head and work calmly in a fast-paced, fluid environment. You’ll be the central hub managing daily curveballs from delivery drivers and clients.
- Communication Pro: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You will be the front line for responding to high-volume emails and phone calls with professionalism and clarity.
- Detail-Oriented & Process-Driven: Hyper-focused on the little things, with a natural curiosity and passion for process improvement.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to think on your feet when logistics timelines shift.
- Bonus Points: Any prior experience in dispatching, delivery scheduling (especially large items/furniture), or coordinating across multiple time zones.
