This is an
exciting opportunity to join Deloitte Operations for an engagement with one of our
clients.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to join a
leading global business insurer. This 9-month contract opportunity focuses on
driving operational excellence within the marine and property insurance
sectors, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience working
with Lloyd's of London or within the Lloyd's insurance market.
This senior leadership
position requires executive-level involvement, including participation on the Executive
Committee (ExCo) and the Board. You will also collaborate closely with the
Interim Global COO to develop and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the service company
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and
oversee commercial and operational functions supporting marine and
property insurance portfolios.
- Set strategic
direction and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance
operational efficiency and business performance.
- Ensure
compliance and efficient processes within the Lloyd's of London market and
international insurance environments.
- Collaborate
with cross-functional teams to optimise business performance and customer
outcomes.
- Manage
stakeholder relationships across global markets.
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven
experience in an operations leadership role within the Lloyd's of London
market is essential.
- Strong
background in international insurance, particularly marine and property
insurance.
- Recent experience
overseeing Delegated Authority, Underwriting Services, and Ceded Reinsurance
- Demonstrated leadership
managing multiple teams and department heads
- Experience working at
executive committee and board levels
- Skilled in change
management and driving operational improvements
- Ability to work
collaboratively with senior stakeholders including COOs
- Demonstrated
ability to manage complex operations in a global insurance context.
- Excellent
leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
