Operations Director – Maun, Botswana
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and strategically minded Operations Director to join an established experiential aviation and charter company based in Maun, Botswana. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior leader with a strong background in aviation operations, logistics and high-end guest experiences to oversee operational performance, drive business efficiency and maintain exceptional service standards.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee the company's daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety and compliance across all operational functions.
Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organisation's business objectives and long-term growth plans.
Manage aviation and charter operations, ensuring effective scheduling, resource allocation and coordination.
Ensure compliance with applicable aviation regulations, safety requirements and operational procedures.
Lead, mentor and develop operational teams, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement.
Monitor operational budgets, costs and performance indicators to improve profitability and resource utilisation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, aviation partners and other key stakeholders.
Identify operational risks and implement effective solutions to maintain service continuity and safety.
Collaborate with senior management to identify growth opportunities and enhance the company's service offering.
Ensure the delivery of seamless, high-quality experiences for clients through effective planning and operational oversight.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a senior operations management or director-level position, preferably within aviation, charter services, tourism or luxury hospitality.
A strong understanding of aviation operations, charter logistics and relevant regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and drive operational excellence.
Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control and performance management.
Excellent strategic planning, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, operationally demanding environment while maintaining high safety and service standards.
A proactive, solutions-driven approach and a strong commitment to operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Salary: P60,000 – P70,000 per month.
