Operations Lead Payments Fintech
You will own and scale the operational backbone across financial, people, customer, and regulatory operations. You will build systems and processes from the ground up, lead cross-functional initiatives, and help the business operate efficiently as it scales. You will define strategy, execute hands-on work, manage competing priorities, and partner with leadership, Finance, Legal, and Compliance.
Responsibilities
- Build and oversee scalable financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash management, vendor payments, and operational reporting.
- Partner with Finance on audits, controls, and strategic planning.
- Improve operational efficiency through automation and process design.
- Own the employee lifecycle from hiring through onboarding and day-to-day people operations.
- Develop internal processes, policies, and operating rhythms.
- Partner with leaders on organizational planning and operational excellence.
- Design and improve customer onboarding and operational workflows.
- Ensure efficient operational processes deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Lead operational escalations and improve service quality.
- Coordinate regulatory filings, reporting obligations, audits, and compliance initiatives.
- Partner with Legal and Compliance to operationalize regulatory requirements.
- Build processes that support a regulated business without slowing execution.
Requirements
- Experience in a high-growth, venture-backed startup in a fast-paced scaling environment.
- Experience in regulated fintech, payments, banking, financial infrastructure, or a similar regulated industry.
- Process-building, operating-framework, and scalable-system design experience.
- Experience across financial, people, customer, and regulatory operations.
- Project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
