Assists with operational projects in a global financial firm, including system enhancements, workflow automation, and cross-team collaboration in derivatives and settlement processes.

Job Description:

  • Assist in the end-to-end execution of operational projects, including project planning, milestone tracking, and status reporting
  • Support the design, testing, and implementation of system enhancements and automation solutions for derivatives and settlement workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Front Office, Risk, and Operations) to gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new system releases and process changes, ensuring requirements are met and defects are properly documented and resolved.
  • Conduct data analysis and validation to support process improvement initiatives, including data migration, reconciliation automation, and workflow optimisation.
  • Prepare project documentation, including business requirement documents, process flow diagrams, test scripts, and training materials.
  • Track project risks, issues, and dependencies, and assist in facilitating timely resolution.
  • Assist in the review and re-engineering of existing operational workflows to identify efficiency gains and control enhancements

Qualification:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related disciplines
  • Strong academic record with demonstrated interest in project management, process improvement, or financial operations
  • Basic understanding of financial markets, securities, and derivatives is an advantage
  • Proficiency with MS Suite, specifically Excel.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin)
