Operations Manager (Dance Academy)

Our client is looking for a Operations Manager to join the team. The Operations Manager is a key leadership role at thier Dance Academy. This person ensures their studio runs smoothly every day, supports our teachers and coordinators, and delivers a warm, organised, and professional experience for parents and students. The ideal candidate is confident, structured, and enjoys leading people, managing systems, and creating a positive environment for families

  • Job Title : Operations Manager
  • Location: Singapore
  • Role Type: Full-time, onsite
  • Reports to: General Manager

Working hours:

● 5-day work week (rotating schedule)

● Business Operational Hours: 9:00am to 9:00pm

● Shift Structure: 8‑hour shifts within that 12‑hour operating window

● Must be willing to work on weekends, with up to 2 weekend days off per month .

Key Responsibilities

Studio Operations

● Oversee daily studio operations across class flow, teacher coordination, and studio readiness.

● Ensure all classes start and end on time, with smooth transitions between groups.

● Manage administrative processes including attendance, waitlists, enrolments, withdrawals, and fee-related queries.

● Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and studio presentation.

● Monitor operational risks and propose improvements to workflows and SOPs.

● Ensure all studio equipment, props, and teaching materials are available and well-maintained.

Parent and Student Experience

● Lead parent communication with clarity, warmth, and professionalism, reflecting ATJ’s tone.

● Handle escalations with maturity, empathy, and strong problem-solving.

● Support parents with onboarding, class placement, schedule changes, and student progress queries.

● Build positive relationships with families, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported.

● Uphold ATJ’s values in every interaction, creating a safe and encouraging environment for students.

Team Leadership

● Guide Customer Support Team members and part-time staff, ensuring clear expectations and consistent follow-through.

● Provide structured instructions, operational notes, and daily task lists.

● Support teachers with class flow, student management, and operational needs.

● Foster teamwork and open communication across the studio.

● Uphold high standards of professionalism, punctuality, and accountability.

Cross-Studio Collaboration

● Work closely with other Studio/Operations Managers to ensure consistency across Forum, Katong, and Dunearn.

● Support shared initiatives such as recital operations, ticketing, holiday camp programs, and relevant competition logistics.

● Contribute operational insights to leadership discussions and planning.

● Participate in weekly operations check-ins and project updates.

Requirements

Essential

● Strong operations background in education, enrichment, hospitality, or retail service environments.

● Excellent communication skills with a warm, parent-friendly tone.

● Confident decision-maker with strong ownership and follow-through. ● Highly organised, structured, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

● Positive, proactive team player who contributes to a healthy studio culture.

● Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with children and families.

● Experience using customer relationship management systems (CRM) for communication, scheduling, or customer follow-up.

● Ability to learn new digital tools quickly and maintain accurate records across systems. Advantageous

● Experience managing a centre, studio, or customer-facing team.

● Familiarity with scheduling systems, ticketing platforms, or CRM tools such as Respond.io, iClassPro, or similar.

● Retail or Hospitality leadership experience (supervisor or manager level) with exposure to service recovery, customer flow management, and team coordination.

● Experience in dance, arts, or enrichment environments.

● Ability to analyse operational risks and propose improvements.
