Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

  • Manage daily operations of Order Control, Picking, Packing, Kitting/Splitting, and Shipping departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Monitor workflow, resource allocation, and department performance to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to established standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and operational policies.
  • Coordinate with Shipping and Other Departments to resolve operational Issues.

2. Order Fulfillment and Inventory Control

  • Oversee order validation, prioritization, release, and execution to achieve on-time delivery commitments.
  • Ensure accuracy of order picking, packing, kitting, and splitting activities while minimizing errors and rework.
  • Monitor inventory movements and transaction accuracy within warehouse management systems.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to maintain inventory integrity.

3. Performance and Productivity Management

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, accuracy, cycle time, on-time shipment, backlog, and service levels.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, equipment, and warehouse resources.

4. Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, team leaders, and associates to achieve operational goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, employee development discussions, and succession planning activities.
  • Promote employee engagement, teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Address employee concerns and facilitate conflict resolution while maintaining a positive work environment.

5. Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive quality initiatives to reduce defects, shipment errors, and customer complaints.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
  • Maintain operational documentation and records in accordance with company requirements.

6. Safety and Risk Management

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety reviews and risk assessments within operational areas.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.

7. Continuous Improvement

  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  • Implement best practices, automation opportunities, and process optimization projects.
  • Facilitate problem-solving activities utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Drive digitalization and system enhancement initiatives to improve operational visibility and efficiency.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree or professional certifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Lean Six Sigma, or Operations Management is an advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience leading warehouse fulfillment teams.
  • Proven experience managing Order Control, Picking, Packing, Kitting/Splitting, Inventory Control, and Shipping Operations.
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, or equivalent), and inventory management tools.
  • Strong background in productivity improvement, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience handling customer service-related operational requirements, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs).
