Operations Manager

Duke's is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead operational performance across assigned region. This is an onsite position located in Plymouth, Michigan.
As the Operations Manager for our CCTV & Cleaning line of service, you will guide field crews, project managers, coordinate people and resources, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, profitably, and to a high standard.

In this role, you are responsible for three criticial areas: 1) Operational Leadership & Project Execution, 2) Workforce, Safety, & Resource Management, and 3) Customer, Financial, & Business Performance. You will:
- Lead project managers and field leaders, setting clear operational priorities and performance expectations
- Ensure projects are properly staffed and resourced and are delivered according to safety, scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer requirements
- Monitor production, labor and equipment utilization, customer satisfaction, safety, and financial performance
- Resolve staffing, scheduling, equipment, project, and customer issues before they affect results
- Plan workforce and equipment needs across multiple projects and locations
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop employees, managers, and future operational leaders
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, audits, inspections, and incident follow-up
- Drive consistent use of Duke’s operating standards, company procedures, and corrective actions across all projects and locations
- Build productive customer relationships and serve as an escalation point for operational concerns
- Partner with Sales, Safety, Fleet, Finance, and Shared Services to support growth, forecasting, and business priorities
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, consistency, efficiency, and execution
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Have 7+ years of progressively responsible operations leadership experience
- Have 5+ years of experience leading supervisors, managers, project managers, or field leadership teams
- Have strong financial and business acumen, including experience interpreting operating metrics, forecasts, and performance risks
- Have demonstrated skill in leadership, coaching, communication, employee development, and problem-solving
- Have experience in construction, utilities, municipal services, environmental services, water or wastewater, infrastructure, or a related industry
- Have strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, ERPs, and other business systems
- Have a valid chauffer's license with a clean driving record
- Are willing to undergo background check, MVR check, and pre-employment drug screen
- Are willing to travel as needed in and out of state up depending on project needs and location of project, with occasional weekend work required as needed. Flexibility will be required.
- Travel is initially expected to be 0-25% of the time, but as the business grows it may increase to 25-50%.
