Operations Manager (EMI)

About the Client

Our client is a Vilnius-based company specializing in online payment processing solutions for e-commerce merchants. They enable businesses to accept a wide range of online payments, including credit cards and popular electronic payment systems. Additionally, they offer white-label card solutions, allowing businesses to issue branded prepaid or debit cards in both physical and virtual formats. Their focus is on providing tailored payment conditions to e-commerce businesses globally.

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to streamline and enhance operational processes within the company. You will have the chance to work across various teams to ensure effective collaboration and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role offers the chance to take ownership of significant projects and directly contribute to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve day-to-day operational processes across the company and ensure different teams work effectively together.
  • Build and document internal processes, policies, and procedures, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate work between Compliance, Finance, Tech, Partnerships, and other teams.
  • Support management and shareholders with operational tasks, reporting, follow-ups, and implementation of decisions.
  • Identify operational risks, process gaps, and inefficiencies and take ownership of fixing them.
  • Manage cross-functional projects from start to finish, making sure deadlines and responsibilities are clear.
  • Support the company during audits, regulatory inspections, and license-related processes by ensuring operational documentation and processes are ready.
  • Take ownership of ad hoc operational projects from management/shareholders and independently drive them to completion.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working in a fintech company with an EMI or PI license.
  • Good understanding of how a regulated payment company works — operations, compliance, internal controls, and governance.
  • Experience taking ownership of tasks or projects that involve multiple teams and seeing them through to the end.
  • Comfortable working closely with leadership and shareholders — reliable, organized, and able to turn general direction into concrete actions.
  • Experience building or improving internal processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Languages: English C1, Russian C1.
  • Experience in fintech.
