Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor fuel inventory levels, stock, and deliveries to avoid shortages and maintain optimal stock.
- Ensure fuel dispensing equipment and other facilities are maintained and in excellent working order.
- Ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations across all assigned stations.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on station performance, including financials, inventory, and customer feedback.
- Ensure all stations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Enforce safe handling of petroleum products, ensuring all staff follow safety protocols.
- Work with government and regulatory bodies for compliance, licensing, and certifications.
- Prepare and manage the budget for each station.
- Ensure that cash handling procedures are adhered to and that revenue targets are met or exceeded
- Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear objectives.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
- Address and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to guide decision-making and improve profitability.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in retail or petroleum station management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to petroleum products.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management and reporting tools.
