Job Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, ensuring that all work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to industry and client technical

This role provides operational and technical leadership to the Project Engineering team, coordinates cross-functional project execution, and acts as the key link between field operations and senior leadership, reporting directly to the General Manager and Managing Director. This role requires communication and interaction with client, sub-contractors, suppliers, authorities and others.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle: scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, procurement coordination, risk management, and quality control.

• Supervise, mentor, and develop Project Engineers, assigning workloads, reviewing designs and technical deliverables, and ensuring engineering output meets applicable CP/corrosion standards and client specifications.

• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for clients on project status, technical issues, and change management, and represent the company at client and site meetings.

• Ensure all projects comply with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NACE/AMPP SP0169, SP0177, ISO15589-1/2, DNV-RP-B401) as well as company HSE policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Monitor project performance against schedule, budget, and safety KPIs; prepare and present regular progress, financial, and risk reports to the General Manager and Directors.

RequiredQualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Corrosion, or related discipline); equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project or operation management. Experience in cathodic protection, corrosion control, or pipeline integrity will be added advantage.

• Proven track record of managing safety-critical field operations in compliance with HSE regulations.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project and client sites as required.

• Possess own transport(car or motorcycle)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with oil& gas, water/wastewater, marine, or utility infrastructure clients.

• Familiarity with project management and software for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting

• NACE/AMPP certification strongly preferred or some corrosion experiences

Skills& Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor technical staff.

• Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical findings for clients, General Manager, and Directors.

• Solid commercial and budget management acumen.

• Strong problem-solving skills and sound engineering judgment under field conditions.

• High attention to detail with a strong safety-first mindset.

• Proficiency in relevant technical and reporting software (MS Office/MS Project; CP survey/analysis tools an asset).

Working Conditions

• Combination of office-based project management work and periodic travel to field sites, which may include remote or outdoor industrial locations.

• May require occasional work outside standard business hours to meet project deadlines or respond to field issues.

• Use of standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required during site visits.

• Additional safety training is required
