Lunds & Byerlys is currently hiring for a vibrant and outgoing Full-Time Operations Manager to create a sensational shopping experience for our customers! This position works a full-time schedule and earns a competitive salary of $68,000-$94,000/year.
We operate 7 days/week and are open from 6:00am-10:00pm. For this position the employee would be scheduled a range of shifts between 6:00am-7:00pm.
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for maintaining a positive work environment for employees and a positive shopping environment for customers through planning, coordination and training of store employees. Other responsibilities include, communication, recruiting, processing employment changes, time and attendance reporting, bookkeeping, payroll processes and onboarding. In addition, this position will perform a variety of management functions with responsibility for day-to-day store operations and processes involving all departments and supporting the general manager in all facets of the business operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet and provide assistance to customers. Model the Lund Food Holdings customer service standards at all times and ensure that the team members are doing the same
Coach, mentor, motivate and lead direct reports to accomplish goals of the location plan and personal goals for each team member
Hire, train and develop team members, including performance management and general supervision of team
Review financial performance reports and analyze and interpret data to efficiently plan resources, including labor
Prepare a variety of reports including, but not limited to, front-end performance measurements customer feedback, and other reports as necessary. Audit and maintain records to ensure integrity and accurate report information
Delegate and communicate with all store team members about new programs, procedures, policies, upcoming events and initiatives
Identify issues and determine solutions to continually enhance work environment as well as store operations
Create a positive work environment for potential and current employees
Ensure all location team members enjoy an engaging hiring, onboarding and training experience. This includes regular check ins to ensure hiring managers are monitoring performance and general new hire needs
Audit and maintain records to ensure integrity and accurate report information
Audit over/shorts and research to identify problems. Initiate discussion with employee, general manager and/or asset protection when necessary to address concerns and resolve issues
Monitor and resolve issues including reconciling cash drawers
Execute back-office processes and maintain conditions
Ensure proper processing of all new employee and current employees’ time records; new hire paperwork completion, personnel files and any government required forms
Monitor and track all employee time records to ensure proper reporting, which includes attendance for each department in accordance with the attendance policy (this includes leave tracking, reporting, occurrences, exceptions, etc.)
Manage leave of absence (LOA) and ADA request process including tracking deadlines and communications. Partner with EXBP to determine accommodation and LOA responses as well as actions resulting from non-compliance
Accurately process and report payroll for all departments (this includes PTO/vacation and holiday hours)
Ensure maintenance of office equipment through proper use, cleaning and repairs to maximize life expectancy and minimize cost of operation
Monitor the interior and exterior store appearance and conditions to ensure high standards of cleanliness, efficiency and productivity
Monitor department to ensure food safety requirements are adhered to including hand washing, food storage and employee health and taking action as needed to correct unsafe situations. Maintain a safe and secure environment, adhering to all safety, food safety and security programs, guidelines and regulations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Undergraduate degree in business or equivalent experience
Experience
Three or more years’ experience with human resources, payroll, scheduling and all aspects of bookkeeping
Prior team leadership experience
