Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeingand managing the overall day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient executionacross retail, inventory, procurement, logistics and staff managementfunctions. The role will drive operational efficiency, cost control, servicestandards and process improvements while supporting the company's businessgrowth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth, efficient and cost-effective business activities.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures and SOPs to improve productivity and consistency.
  • Manage retail, warehouse, inventory, procurement and logistics operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock movement and replenishment while minimising discrepancies, wastage and losses.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors on pricing, product availability, service standards and timely deliveries.
  • Monitor sales, operational KPIs and costs, identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and supervise operations staff, including manpower planning, training, work allocation and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, workplace safety and operational standards.
  • Work with Finance on inventory valuation, stock adjustments, operating expenses and cost-control initiatives.
  • Oversee customer service, order fulfilment and delivery operations, and resolve operational issues promptly.
  • Support new outlet openings, operational setup and business expansion initiatives.
  • Prepare operational reports, budgets, forecasts and performance updates for management.
  • Work closely with management and other departments on business planning, improvement initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management, Retail Management, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably with experience in retail, minimart, FMCG, logistics or e-commerce operations.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, procurement, warehousing and retail operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Good analytical and decision-making abilities.
