This role requires a hands-on operator who identifies risks early, holds partners accountable and drives issues through to resolution. You will work closely with the Operations Director, providing accurate reporting and practical recommendations to support operational decisions.
Key Responsibilities
3PL and Co-Manufacturing Management
-
Manage daily relationships with external warehouse and manufacturing partners, aligning priorities, deadlines and service commitments.
-
Monitor production, dispatches, aged orders, inventory and sales performance against agreed forecasts.
-
Investigate missed commitments, coordinate recovery actions and verify completion.
-
Escalate capacity constraints, stockout risks and operational issues with clear recommendations.
Production and Quality
-
Translate approved production plans into daily and weekly schedules with the co-manufacturer.
-
Track production by SKU, monitor material availability with the Supply Chain Manager and address shortfalls.
-
Maintain accurate production jobs, purchase orders and receipts in Cin7.
-
Ensure manufacturing, filling, packaging and channel requirements follow established guidelines.
-
Investigate quality complaints, gather supporting evidence and follow through on corrective actions.
Fulfilment and Logistics
-
Coordinate fulfilment across DTC, wholesale, Faire, Amazon and retail channels.
-
Ensure compliance with retailer routing guides, purchase order requirements, BOL, ASN and EDI documentation.
-
Resolve delayed, partial, replacement and unscanned orders, keeping system records aligned with physical dispatches.
-
Confirm shipment readiness, carrier handover and delivery, addressing freight exceptions and communicating revised timelines.
Inventory and Systems
-
Maintain accurate inventory records across Cin7, the 3PL warehouse management system, Shopify and Faire.
-
Coordinate stock counts, recounts and month-end reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
-
Reconcile Amazon inventory and prepare replenishment requirements based on forecasts, available stock and inbound shipments.
Financial Controls and Continuous Improvement
-
Validate 3PL, co-manufacturing and domestic freight charges against approved rates and services.
-
Document operational errors, replacement costs and inventory losses; recommend disputes and follow up on credits.
-
Provide Finance with complete dispatch documentation for accurate B2B invoicing and resolve order, shipment and invoice discrepancies.
-
Improve workflows, document procedures and reduce recurring errors, manual work and operational costs.
-
Present monthly performance reviews covering results, risks, root causes and recommended actions.
Requirements
-
5+ years of experience in fulfilment, logistics, inventory or production.
-
Experience managing US operations, including US-based 3PLs, co-manufacturers, domestic carriers and freight.
-
Experience in both manufacturing and distribution businesses, ideally within consumer products.
-
At least 2–3 years at manager level owning an outsourced 3PL relationship, including service levels, inventory accuracy and invoice validation.
-
