Operations Manager | Tank Logistics

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize tank logistics activities across a regional network. This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, improving service delivery standards, and leading a high-performing operations team in support of business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for end-to-end tank logistics operations across multiple trade lanes and transportation flows.
• Develop and enhance operational processes, controls, and performance standards to improve efficiency, service quality, and cost effectiveness.
• Lead, coach, and develop operations teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee planning and execution activities to ensure optimal equipment utilization, timely deliveries, and operational reliability.
• Analyze operational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and customer-specific operational requirements.
• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with service providers, transportation partners, terminals, and other external stakeholders.
• Manage operational expenditures, vendor performance, and service-related costs to achieve budget objectives.
• Collaborate closely with commercial and customer-facing teams to support customer retention, business growth, and service excellence.
• Monitor operational KPIs and business metrics, implementing action plans to improve overall performance.
• Lead the resolution of complex operational challenges and service disruptions while minimizing customer impact.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Maritime Studies, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience within logistics, shipping, supply chain, or specialized equipment transportation operations.
• Proven experience managing tank container operations, intermodal logistics, equipment fleets, or related transportation activities.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, operational risk management, and safety standards.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across customers, suppliers, and operational partners.
• Experience managing operating budgets, service providers, and performance metrics.
