Operations Officer (Marine)
Summary
Oversee 24/7 marine operations from a control room, monitoring vessel movements, coordinating tugboat deployments, and responding to emergencies in Singapore.
Responsibilites:
- Provide 24/7 operational support from the control room to oversee vessel movements and operations.
- Monitor real-time vessel positions, routes, and schedules using relevant monitoring systems.
- Maximising resources by ensuring tugboats are promptly deployed according to schedules and job requirements, closely coordinating with all relevant stakeholders to meet operational needs.
- Maintain clear and effective communication channels for smooth tugboat operations, promptly address any issues or concerns as necessary.
- Identify and resolve operational issues related to tugboat deployment by collaborating with teams to implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of tugboat schedules, operational activities and other relevant documentation.
- Respond promptly to emergencies situation by adjusting plans and deployment on top of rendering necessary assistance.
- Carry out any other tasks as reasonably requested by the Management.
Requirements:
- GCE “O” Level / NITEC qualification.
- Preferably with 2 years of experience in the marine industry.
- Familiarity with local port waters is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
- Bilingual.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
