OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST

The Operations Research Analyst will apply mathematical modelling, data analysis and optimisation techniques to support project planning and operational decision-making across the company’s construction projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with Project, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Procurement and Management teams to analyse project data, improve resource allocation and develop practical planning and reporting tools.

*Key Responsibilities*

* Develop quantitative models to support project scheduling, manpower allocation, procurement planning and logistics coordination.

* Analyst

project progress, labour productivity, material lead times, costs, claims and cash-flow data.

* Prepare project forecasts, trend analysis, sensitivity analysis and early-warning reports for management.

* Develop and maintain dashboards and automated reports using Python, SQL, Excel, Power BI or other suitable analytical tools.

* Assist in comparing planned versus actual project performance and identifying delays, cost variances and operational bottlenecks.

* Support the development and improvement of the company’s project management and digital workflow systems.

* Establish consistent data structures, definitions and reporting standards across different projects and departments.

* Translate operational requirements from project teams into measurable data models and practical analytical solutions.

* Perform scenario analysis to support tender planning, resource deployment and management decisions.

* Present analytical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* Maintain accurate documentation of analytical models, assumptions, methodologies and data sources.

*Requirements*

* Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering or another relevant quantitative discipline.

* Strong foundation in mathematical modelling, optimisation, probability, statistics or numerical analysis.

* Working knowledge of Python and SQL; knowledge of MATLAB, Power BI or advanced Excel will be an advantage.

* Ability to analyse large and complex datasets and translate findings into practical business recommendations.

* Strong logical thinking, problem-solving and attention to detail.

* Good written and spoken English.

* Ability to work collaboratively with Project, Commercial, Finance, Procurement and IT teams.

* Fresh graduates with strong academic and project experience are welcome to apply.

* Previous exposure to construction, project controls, scheduling, cost analysis or operational analytics is advantageous but not mandatory.
