OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST
This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for the design, collection, analysis, measurement and reporting of various cost, budget, economic, capability and program data.
As a OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST at the GS-1515-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Receiving and studying technical publications, regulations, directives, manuals and policy statements to determine their effect on current policy statements and approaches to various analysis studies. Performing as project team leader in planning, conducting, and accomplishing research, or self-developed and VCJCS-level directed studies applicable to existing or propose initiative and outcome. Analyzing complex management problems by applying expert knowledge of various classes analytic methods including optimization, modeling and simulation, statistical analysis or mathematical techniques. Serve as technical advisor and develops and disseminates Joint Staff policy guidance and instructions.
