Operations Shift Manager
Job Description:
This is a fundamental operations management position to achieve production KPIs in accordance with legal requirements and Mars company standards through team building and associates development.
This role ensures the support and development of the Mars culture within the team. Recruits and develops talents. Leads projects and activities within production projects. Acts as the area owner and instills the ownership in the team members.
Key responsibilties:
Responsible for all work to fulfill the production plan for the shift on the relevant lines while adhering to safety and quality standards, achieving key production indicators, and adhering to approved costs, namely:
- Responsible for the safe performance of shift work at the factory, ensuring employee compliance with safety regulations and occupational health and safety requirements;
- Responsible for hygiene and compliance with sanitary standards within the shift at the factory;
- Responsible for compliance with technology, quality, and production standards within the shift;
- Responsible for organizing contractor employees within the shift at the factory and for the professional development of employees;
- Coordinates the work of the maintenance service employees working on the shift;
- Responsible for ensuring production is within the planned budget and for the proper use of labor and material resources.
Responsible for the continuous improvement of the shift and assigned area of the factory within the framework of core activities by supporting and developing improvement programs and reducing production losses.
- Building production shift teams. Developing shift role profiles. Preparing an onboarding and training system for shift personnel. Integrating MSE into the team's work. Preparing and implementing the site launch.

- Proven experience as an operations shift manager. Preferably within a manufacturing, or operation with pet nutrition technology.
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience in all facets of talent acquisition and talants development.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale activities, managing complex timelines, risks.
- Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships with leaders and teams.
- MSE or Lean manufacturing principles
