Operations Specialist I
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Safely operate forklifts, man lifts, and overhead cranes.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and railcars.
- Move and store materials in designated areas.
- Build wooden skids according to specifications.
- Use a tape measure and other measuring tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Immediately report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
- Assist team members as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Warehouse, manufacturing, steel-processing, or machine-operation experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to read and understand work orders, instructions, and safety procedures.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure or willingness to learn.
- Ability to operate required equipment after completing company-provided training and certification.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and dependability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Prolonged standing and walking.
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely enter and exit forklifts.
- Ability to work near moving machinery and in areas with continuous loud noise.
