Operations Specialist

What You'll Do:

    • Review, coordinate, and create process orders to maintain production schedules based on order priority and availability of materials.
    • Assist in creating goods issues against process orders to consume inventories correctly and ensure proper allocations of material have been completed.
    • Lead and maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources
    • Oversee and maintain compliance with established policies and procedures, especially PSM compliance with regards to SOP review and operations.
    • Complete production plan lined out by the Production Manager
    • Own and complete weekly cycle counts on input products used in the production process
    • Participating as needed in Annual Physical Inventory Counts
    • Accomplish work results by establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving production problems and reporting results of the processing flow on production metrics
    • Provide manufacturing/process improvement information by working closely Production Manager and Maintenance to ensure robust production capabilities are maintained, waste is eliminated and formulation efficiencies are gained.
    • Read inventory reports and process orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of materials and take follow up action in relation to material shortages by interfacing with planning.
    • Work with management and plant resources to help develop new production procedures to ensure processes are well defined and robust to support quality production
    • Troubleshoot and problem solve issues on the floor including but not limited to HMI’s, seed processing and division of workload.

    • Perform other duties and assignments as directed by Management

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an Agricultural Focus in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field;
  • Five (5)+ years’ experience in the agriculture/manufacturing industry
  • Six Sigma preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Proven knowledge and experience of using SAP/S4 manufacturing systems
