Operations supervisor
Job Description
We are looking for a hands-on Sales Operations Management Assistant to support the daily operations of a minimart. This is an operational role requiring the employee to work on the shop floor, handle physical stock and perform administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily opening and closing of the minimart
- Operate the cashier system and handle cash, NETS and electronic payments
- Receive deliveries and verify goods against invoices and purchase orders
- Carry, unpack, arrange and replenish cartons of merchandise
- Monitor inventory levels, expiry dates, damaged goods and stock discrepancies
- Conduct regular stock counts and prepare inventory reports
- Update product prices, promotional labels and point-of-sale records
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries and shortages
- Maintain accurate daily sales, cash and operational records
- Attend promptly to customer enquiries and complaints
- Maintain cleanliness and proper merchandise presentation
- Assist with staffing arrangements and supervise operations when required
- Perform other operational duties assigned by management
Requirements
- Relevant experience in minimart, supermarket or convenience-store operations
- Experience handling cashiering, stock receiving and inventory control
- Able to use Microsoft Excel and prepare basic sales and stock reports
- Able to carry and move cartons and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Careful when handling cash, stock and confidential business information
- Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Applicants must be able to perform both physical shop-floor work and administrative duties
Working Conditions
- Six-day work week
- Rotating shifts according to operational requirements
- Weekend and public-holiday work is required
- Work location may be changed according to the company’s operational needs
