Opportunity:
We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations within fulfillment, manufacturing, or packaging environments. This role is ideal for a first-time or early-career people leader who is passionate about developing teams, driving operational performance, and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.
The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in coordinating people, processes, and resources to support efficient operations while fostering a strong, inclusive team culture.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations in fulfillment, manufacturing, or packaging areas to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Coordinate shift schedules, material flow, and task assignments to support operational priorities.
- Proactively identify and support resolution of operational issues, escalating as needed.
- Plan and communicate daily and weekly priorities under minimal supervision.
- Deliver functional KPIs through individual and team performance.
- Plan, assign, and oversee tactical completion of work aligned with functional objectives.
- Coach, develop, and evaluate employee performance through ongoing feedback and formal performance reviews.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training to ensure employees have the skills required to perform their roles.
- Create an inclusive, empowered, and supportive team culture that drives engagement and productivity.
- Collaborate with peer supervisors across departments to support cross-functional execution and enterprise goals.
- Execute low-complexity initiatives, ensuring timelines, milestones, and resource plans are met.
- Follow and model all Quality Management System, Safety, and customer-specific requirements.
Your Contributions:
- Education: College degree required; if no college degree, 7+ years of relevant, equivalent experience required.
- Experience: 5+ years of functional experience in operations, manufacturing, fulfillment, or packaging
- 0–2 years of people management experience
- Ability to manage and develop hourly employees
- Strong communication, coaching, and team leadership skills
- Understanding of safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Developing financial acumen and understanding of operational cost drivers
- Problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and troubleshooting
- Ability to work effectively in a regulated environment and follow established procedures
- Strong collaboration and conflict-resolution skills
