Operations Supervisor Testing

You will oversee daily autonomous vehicle testing operations and support on-site test execution and troubleshooting. You will lead Test Specialists, Safety Drivers, and Assisted Autonomy Operators; manage shift performance; enforce safety and compliance standards; and coordinate with engineering and operations management. You will monitor performance metrics, review documentation, resolve operational issues, coach team members, improve processes, and ensure consistent shift handoffs. You will travel every four weeks to a remote industrial testing site to oversee industrial-scale testing activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily testing operations and support on-site test execution and troubleshooting
• Ensure testing activities comply with SOPs, safety policies, and project priorities
• Coordinate shared test personnel to maintain throughput and fleet utilization
• Make on-shift operational decisions and escalate critical matters
• Track and report shift performance metrics
• Review team documentation for accuracy, completeness, escalation, and communication standards
• Identify process gaps and performance trends and implement corrective actions
• Conduct coaching sessions, ride-alongs, and evaluations
• Promote safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement
• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and CDL/HOS compliance requirements
• Coordinate shift handoffs, situational awareness, and priorities with cross-functional teams
• Travel every four weeks to oversee industrial-scale testing activities at a remote testing site

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in AV testing, fleet operations, or related automotive environments
• Experience in a working-lead or supervisory role in a fast-paced, safety-critical setting
• Understanding of AV systems, testing workflows, and operational safety practices
• Ability to manage shift-based teams while maintaining productivity and morale
• Familiarity with autonomous systems, fleet management, and test execution processes
• Understanding of compliance frameworks and operational risk management principles
• Ability to communicate complex operational details to technical and non-technical audiences
