Role Overview
We are seeking an Operations Support Engineer (Software Engineering) to support production applications,troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to engineering fixes and operational improvements. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical support background who is also comfortable reading code, writing scripts,and working on small engineering tasks within a software development team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, stability, and performance of enterprise and cloud-based systems while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and support teams.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide technical support for production applications, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.
· Investigate and resolve production incidents using logs, monitoring tools, browser developer tools, and system diagnostics.
· Troubleshoot issues across web applications, APIs, integrations, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
· Read, understand, and modify application code to support troubleshooting and bug fixing.
· Develop scripts or small utilities to improve troubleshooting, automate recurring tasks, and enhance operational efficiency.
· Implement and validate minor bug fixes or software changes under guidance and code review.
· Take on development or engineering tickets when required and work collaboratively with the software engineering team.
· Manage support tickets, communicate clearly with users and stakeholders, and drive incidents through to resolution.
· Participate in Agile and cross-functionalproduct team workflows.
· Balance operational support responsibilities with engineering work based on team and product priorities.
Required Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
· 2–5 years of experience in Technical Operations, Application Support, Software Engineering,or a similar technical role.
· Experience supporting production applications, cloud-based platforms, or enterprise systems.
· Strong troubleshooting experience across web applications, APIs, integrations, networking, or cloud infrastructure.
· Ability to investigate issues using logs,monitoring tools, browser developer tools, and system diagnostics.
· Comfortable reading and modifying application code for troubleshooting and bug fixing.
· Hands-on scripting or programming experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, SQL, or similar technologies.
· Ability to develop scripts or utilities for automation and operational improvement.
· Familiarity with Git/source control, code review, testing, and deployment workflows.
· Experience managing support tickets, stakeholder communication, and incident resolution.
· Experience working in Agile or cross-functional product teams.
· Ability to adapt quickly and switch between operational and engineering priorities.
Technical Knowledge
Working knowledge of some or all of the following:
· Cloud platforms,preferably AWS
· Web technologies such as HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, and JavaScript
· Networking concepts including DNS, SSL/TLS, and CDN
· SQL and relational databases
· Monitoring and observability tools
· Git and source-control workflows
· Scripting or application development using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, or similar technologies
