Operations Support Volunteer

He aha te tūranga - About the role:

We have a opportunities with our Akaroa team for non-clinical persons to volunteer as Operational Support.

This is an important ambulance support role with a primary focus to prepare Hato Hone St John vehicles for operational readiness which means you'll be an essential worker supporting our front-line emergency service. The role will involve station administration, ordering and driving of certain vehicles with additional project work as required.

We're looking for flexible and adaptable people with no previous experience required - training provided!

Please note that this role does not include responding to medical emergencies and does not have a clinical component.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Full NZ drivers license
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and planning skills
  • Reasonable competence in computer systems
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Friendly, approachable attitude
  • The ability to work unsupervised or equally as part of a diverse team.
