SUMMARY: Responsible for all activities associated with running the folder gluer including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for efficient make-ready cartons assigned.
  • Accurate and efficient set up of all folding and gluing operations of the machine in accordance with proper setup techniques.
  • Minimize waste of sheet stock and glue.
  • Monitors adhesive application for proper placement, adhesion, and quantity.
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
  • Adheres to production schedule. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals.
  • Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
  • Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

  • Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles; vibrations

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Required to maintain a current Forklift License
