Operator Sales Team
Sell CORE client’s products to existing and new customers at the operator level in the assigned territory. Assist in developing sales plan targets as well as execute assigned sales targets by client. Manage all aspects of the sales process through CRM.
Responsibilities and Duties
Essential responsibilities include:
• Territory development: Execute assigned territory priorities, target accounts, client objectives, sales goals, and activity expectations. Maintain at least 10 sales calls per week, or as assigned, and adjust activity with sales leadership guidance.
• Operator selling: Spend approximately 60% of time on operator contact, or as assigned. Use CORE’s Seven Step sales process to prospect, identify needs, present approved solutions, address routine objections, gain commitments, and support repeat purchases.
• Account portfolio management: Maintain a Platinum Partner Portfolio of at least 25 accounts, or as assigned. Contact each portfolio account at least once every 60 days and document needs, opportunities, and next steps.
• Client presentations: Present at least four CORE clients on each sales call, or as assigned. Communicate approved product features, benefits, applications, and value within program guardrails.
• CRM and opportunity management: Maintain accurate Salesforce records for customer profiles, contacts, activities, opportunities, samples, commitments, competitive information, and results. Track assigned opportunities from initial contact through follow-up.
• Customer relationships: Build professional relationships with existing and prospective customers, provide responsive service, and coordinate support for questions or concerns.
• Cross-functional execution: Collaborate with sales leadership, client teams, culinary resources, distributors, and partners to prepare presentations, coordinate follow-up, and advance opportunities.
• Market awareness: Build knowledge of CORE client portfolios, product applications, sales programs, industry trends, and competitor activity. Share relevant field observations with sales leadership.
• Resource and policy management: Manage time, travel, Everlance, samples, sales materials, expenses, and company resources responsibly while meeting documentation, safety, attendance, and policy requirements.
Performance Expectations
• Meet assigned sales, activity, portfolio, presentation, distribution, conversion, and client objectives.
• Maintain a productive call cadence, current account information, documented next steps, and consistent follow-through.
• Demonstrate progress in learning CORE’s Seven Step sales process and moving opportunities from prospecting through trial, conversion, and repeat purchase.
• Communicate opportunities, risks, customer needs, and support requests early while maintaining accurate Salesforce records.

Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in business, sales, hospitality, foodservice, or related field preferred.
• Entry-level sales, customer service, restaurant, hospitality, retail, foodservice, or related experience preferred; prior territory management is not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Requirements
• Basic proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Teams, and designated selling/reporting tools, or ability to learn them.
• Ability to read sales reports, prioritize assigned opportunities, manage follow-up, and communicate clear activity updates.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, planning, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess account conditions, identify basic opportunities, and establish professional customer relationships.
• Ability to engage in customer conversations, participate in sales meetings, and understand information in individual and group settings, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• Ability to use the Everlance application and submit mileage and expenses by established deadlines.
Physical Demands
To perform the essential functions of this role, the employee must be able to meet the following requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
• Mobility and travel: Regularly drive throughout the assigned territory, enter and exit a vehicle during multi-stop routes, and travel overnight for shows as assigned.
• Standing and activity: Regularly stand and remain active during field days, customer visits, product demonstrations, and food shows.
• Walking and access: Regularly walk within and between customer locations and navigate restaurants, kitchens, storage areas, loading zones, stairs, and uneven surfaces.
• Lifting, carrying, and setup: Regularly lift, carry, transport, set up, and break down samples, equipment, booths, and sales materials, typically up to 30–40 pounds.
• Movement and positioning: Regularly bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and maneuver within tight or active environments while handling products and materials.
• Manual dexterity: Regularly use hands and arms to handle products, prepare samples, operate tools or equipment, drive, and present.
• Work environment: Regularly work in foodservice environments with heat, cold, wet or slippery floors, confined spaces, and high-traffic areas.
• Visual requirements: Regularly maintain close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception needed to safely perform job duties.
