Due to continued growth and success, Wolfe Eye Clinic has exciting career opportunities for Experienced Ophthalmic Technicians throughout the state of Iowa. We are a progressive, Iowa-based multi sub-specialty ophthalmology group with ten main locations, ten family vision centers, a surgery center, and several outreach sites. We are looking for passionate, energetic, and patient focused individuals to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Document patients’ medical and ocular histories in the electronic medical record.
- Perform patient workups.
- Complete diagnostic testing, such as retinoscopy, manual refraction, applanation A-scan, keratometry, tonometry, OCTs, and visual fields.
- Provide patient education according to physician instructions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Ophthalmic experience is required.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Experience providing excellent patient care.
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and communicate concerns regarding the results of diagnostic testing.

- Manual Refraction
- Applanation A-scan
- Manual Keratometry
- Tonometry
- Visual Fields
- Retinoscopy
- Optical coherence Tomography (OCT)
- Fluorescein Angiography
- Fundus and optic nerve photography
- Corneal Topography
- Slit Lamp Photography
- B-scans
Daytime travel required. When traveling outside your base clinic, travel time and mileage will be reimbursed.
