Operations Controls and Metrics Process Analyst
Overview of Position
The Operations Control and Metrics Process Analyst is responsible for conducting and overseeing operational reviews to ensure compliance, quality, and process effectiveness. This role analyzes review results, identifies trends and root causes, recommends corrective actions, and partners with leadership to drive continuous improvement. The position also provides quality oversight, supports team development, and leads process improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and risk management.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Review Support - 70%
Coordinates and monitors workflow; provides distribution of assignments to teams and becomes active in the workflow when volume needed.
Lead discussions with internal review teams, leadership and internal operational partners to discuss identified trends.
Partner with Controls and Metrics Senior Operational Analyst for oversight of review output prior to cycle closure for accuracy and consistency.
Responsible for reviewing disputes and discussing results with internal teams and leadership. Escalate disputes that require leadership oversight or approval, where needed.
Develop and implement reviews, validate artifacts, document findings and supporting information for output.
Analyze procedure, reports, regulations, and operating practices to communicate issues for applicable reviews.
Perform research of quantitative and qualitative data to further support review findings, including root cause analysis.
Recommend and submit Action Plan(s) based on research, analytics performed by Controls and Metrics Operational Process Analyst, and negative trending of review results.
Participates in client meetings as needed. Lead additional internal meetings/calibrations based on need or area of oversight.
Conduct quality reviews on peers and provide feedback on opportunities and overall quality results.
Identify areas of training while working alongside leadership
Provide support and training to Operational Process Analyst and other team members, where needed.
Process Improvement (30%)
Make recommendations to ensure implementation realized improvements are in place and effective post review change.
Lead the documentation of departmental processes and procedures using standardized tools such as process maps, time studies, root cause analysis, Gage R & R, and improvements.
Develop, implement, support, and participate in special projects and targeted reviews as required.
Perform testing for new systems and system controls.
No direct reports but is responsible for reviewing and validating the reviews performed by peers through quality in absence of manager, may be responsible for daily administrative duties.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
4 years of operational, Compliance or audit experience.
3 years of insurance, mortgage, and financial services experience.
2 years utilizing data analysis and improvement tools.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Associate degree or equivalent operations experience.
Experience with process improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of mortgage, insurance, and financial services regulations and operational risk concepts.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and related technology applications.
Experience conducting reviews, validating documentation, researching requirements, and supporting report preparation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, research, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to collect, analyze, organize, and validate data with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to interpret and apply procedures, regulatory requirements, and operational controls.
Proven ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, build trust, and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated resilience, customer focus, and sound judgment.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt knowledge and project management experience preferred.

09Pay Range:
$56,200.00 - $94,100.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
