Optical Systems Design Engineer

A well funded MEMS startup company in the San Francisco Bay area is looking for an Optical Design Engineer to design MEMS based optical products.

Responsibilities

· Develop optical system architectures for a MEMS product

· Design optical systems and evaluate and optimize the design of those systems

· Work with both optical fiber and MEMS mirrors to design optical subsystems

Required Skills

· MS or Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering or other relevant field

· 5+ years experience with design of optical systems

· Experience with optical system design and testing

· Experience with Zemax or other optical design tools.

· Position can be remote with about 25% travel to San Francisco Bay Area
