Optical Test & Validation Engineer | Up to $8,000 | West

Take your expertise in optical testing and equipment validation to the next level.

We are looking for a technically skilled Test Engineer to support the development and validation of advanced optical and semiconductor testing equipment. You will work on R&D prototypes, evaluate critical performance parameters and contribute to improving product reliability and testing efficiency.

Salary: $4,000 – $8,000 per month

Location: West

Working Days: Monday – Friday

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct functional, performance and reliability testing of R&D prototypes, covering optical, electrical, motion accuracy and environmental performance.
• Develop test plans, test environments and validation procedures for optoelectronic die testing equipment.
• Verify critical parameters, including optical coupling accuracy, test repeatability, bit error rate and testing efficiency.
• Analyse test results, investigate technical issues and recommend corrective actions and design improvements.
• Develop automated test scripts and establish testing specifications to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Malaysia team to establish mass-production testing procedures, technical specifications and SOPs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Optoelectronic Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Measurement and Control Technology or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in optical component testing, semiconductor equipment testing or product verification.
• Familiarity with optical communication testing instruments and statistical data analysis.
• Able to develop test plans, design test cases and prepare technical reports independently.
• Python or MATLAB scripting and automated test system development experience will be advantageous.
• Exposure to silicon photonic chip testing, optical module testing or CPO/OE die testing standards and performance indicators is an advantage.
• Good English reading and writing skills, analytical ability and attention to detail.
