Responsibilities
Optician
- Assist customers in selecting suitable spectacle frames and lenses based on prescription, lifestyle, and budget.
- Interpret and verify spectacle prescriptions issued by optometrists or ophthalmologists.
- Take accurate facial and frame measurements to ensure proper fitting and comfort.
- Adjust, repair, and maintain spectacles to ensure optimal fit and performance.
- Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and proper eyewear care.
- Process customer orders and coordinate with optical laboratories for lens fabrication.
Optometrist
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
- Diagnose refractive errors and prescribe appropriate corrective lenses.
- Perform contact lens fitting, assessment, and follow-up consultations.
- Assess ocular health and identify signs of common eye diseases.
- Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other healthcare professionals when necessary.
- Provide professional advice on vision care, eye health, and preventive measures.
