Optician (Specialist Clinic)

As an Optician (Specialist Clinic), your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting eye refraction assessments and taking accurate measurements using the appropriate instruments and equipment.
• Recommending suitable optical solutions based on customers' visual needs and assessment results.
• Performing adjustments and troubleshooting issues related to spectacle fittings and ophthalmic lenses.
• Maintaining accurate customer records, including eye health information and purchase history.
• Providing excellent patient care and ensuring patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.
• Performing refractions confidently and accurately.
• Learning and operating a range of ophthalmic equipment used within the clinic.

Requirements:

• Advanced Certificate of Performance in Ophthalmic Dispensing and Refraction, NITEC in Opticianry, or Diploma in Opticianry.
• Eligible for registration with, or currently registered under, the Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB).
• Comfortable interacting with patients and working in a clinical environment.
• Keen to learn and adapt to the use of various ophthalmic instruments and technologies.
