- Support Staff Available: 1 Optometric Tech, 1 Optician
- Reason for Coverage: Full-time coverage needed
- Credentialing Timeline: Minimal credentialing (FQHC)
- Licenses: Active ME license preferred
- Board: Board Certification by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry
- Experience: Experience in FQHC or high-volume Medicaid setting preferred
- Other Qualifications: Graduation from an approved school of optometry. Clean criminal and DHHS background.
- Provide quality eye care and emergency treatment to a diverse patient population.
- Examine eyes and visual systems to diagnose problems or impairments.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and provide comprehensive treatment plans.
- Prescribe therapeutic drugs to treat specific eye conditions as needed.
- Work collaboratively across two campus locations (South Patten and Houlton) within an FQHC setting.
