Optometrist (provisional/ full registration)

Optometrist performs eye exams, imaging, and pre-op prep in a specialist clinic, with on-the-job training for provisional registrants.

We are expanding and seek a passionate, caring junior/ senior Optometrist to join our practice initially in Novena and then in the West. We offer an attractive salary and medical benefits.
If you are on provisional registration, you will be exposed to a wide range of cases (adult/ child) in our clinic, and we will arrange an attachment with an optical shop to help you meet registration requirements.
Responsibilities:
Perform clinical eye tests including refraction, visual acuity, fundus photography, OCT macular/ disc, perimetry, biometry, corneal topography, endothelial cell count, fundus fluorescein angiography, and indocyanine green angiography.
Prepare for laser and operation in the clinic and hospital.
Register patients, dispense medications, and answer queries.
File claims and prepare memos.
Sanitization and simple housekeeping duties.
Other duties as assigned.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.30 to 17.30 (Novena) or 10.30 to 19.30 (West), with a 1-hour lunch break; at least two Saturdays a month, 8.30 to 13.00 or 9.00 to 13.30 (Novena/ West).
Requirements:
Diploma/ Degree/ Masters in Optometry
No clinical experience required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Good team player with a caring personality.
Good interpersonal skills. Communicate well with both adults and kids.
