Job Description
- At least 5 years of end to end exposure in data warehousing design, architecture and solution implementation.
- Proven experience performing analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation activities for J2EE applications following industry accepted methodologies and best practices
- Experience with BEA WebLogic (Version 8.X or Higher), Eclipse, JUnit, Spring, UNIX/Linux, architectural & design patterns, XML (including JAXB, XSD, SAX, DOM, etc.), Java persistence frameworks (e.g. JDBC, Hibernate, JDO, iBATIS, etc.), Java presentation frameworks (e.g. Spring MVC, Struts, JSF, etc.), JMS/MOM, DHTML, AJAX
- Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture concepts
- Experience in a high volume transaction processing environment including solving non-trivial performance-related problems
- At least 2 years of experience towards client interfacing exposure role.
- In depth knowledge of retail and institutional security trade processing from setup through settlement, in a brokerage setting, with emphasis on back office operations (settlement and clearance, position keeping, etc.). Knowledge of Broadridge/ADP BPS/Impact would be beneficial
- At least 4+ years of strong knowledge of UNIX and Shell scripting and knowledge of XML/XSD
- Sharepoint , Excel/MS Access, Visio, Powerpoint
- In depth exposure to Oracle SQL and PL/SQL and query performance tuning.
- Experience in Data Modeling and Logical and Physical Database Design;
- Experience in code management tools such as SVN and code migration methodologies/release management activities.
- Experience leading a development team, interacting with customers, requirement gathering, creating a design of the existing and new web based systems, and performing evaluation and analysis
- Able to work as in independent contributor as well as team setting
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Completion of related college/university degree, or equivalent experience
- Good knowledge and experience in Capital Markets, specially operations technology dealing with settlements and stock record areas will be a definite advantage
- Hands-on exposure to data integration tools (Extraction, Transformation) tools and technologies such as Talend, Informatica, Abinitio
- Sound understanding of data presentation layer tools and technologies such as Business Objects, Cognos, and advanced Excel reports.
