Manages, configures, and optimizes Oracle databases with a focus on Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery, including RMAN backups, performance tuning, and security.
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator DBA with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration and strong expertise in Oracle Data Guard The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing maintaining monitoring and optimizing Oracle database environments while ensuring high availability disaster recovery security and performance
YOU WILL
YOU WILLInstall configure upgrade patch and maintain Oracle Database environments Administer Oracle databases across Development Test UAT and Production environments Implement configure and manage Oracle Data Guard Physical and Logical Standby Perform Data Guard switchover and failover activities and validate disaster recovery readiness Monitor database health performance storage and availability Perform database backup and recovery using Oracle RMAN Tune database performance by analyzing SQL execution plans indexing strategies and database parameters Troubleshoot database issues related to performance availability replication and storage Implement database security user management roles privileges and auditing Plan and execute database upgrades migrations and patch management Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell scripting SQL or PL SQL Support high availability solutions and ensure compliance with organizational standards Work closely with application teams infrastructure teams and vendors to resolve database-related issues Maintain database documentation operational procedures and disaster recovery runbooks
RequirementsTO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU NEED
- Minimum 5 years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
- Strong experience with Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 19c, or later.
- Hands‑on expertise with Oracle Data Guard configuration, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle RMAN backup and recovery.
- Experience with Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management).
- Good understanding of Oracle RAC environments.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
- Experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
- Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) is preferred.
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Shell scripting experience for database automation.
- Understanding of database security best practices and user administration.
