Location: Europe (Specific location details provided upon application)
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Client: Award-Winning Organisation

About the Role

Our award-winning client is looking for a senior-level Database Engineer to join their expanding team in Europe.

In this role, you will take full ownership of a mission-critical Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC)

environment. You will be responsible for scaling, securing, and optimising the high-performance data platforms that drive global operations across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Database Engineering & Migrations: Design and maintain high-availability Oracle RAC clusters on ExaCC. Configure Clusterware and IORM workload isolation, and lead end-to-end cloud migrations from on-premises or OCI environments.

  • Platform Management: Oversee full-lifecycle infrastructure administration, patching, and compute/storage scaling. Apply deep architectural knowledge of Exadata internals, CELLSRV, and networking to ensure platform stability.

  • Disaster Recovery & Performance: Implement robust Oracle Data Guard architectures and configure automated RMAN/ZDLRA backup workflows. Run deep diagnostics using AWR, ASH, and OEM to fine-tune Smart Scan and Flash Cache.

  • Automation & Observability: Build operational automation and deployment validation pipelines using Python and Ansible. Customise OEM/OCI monitoring dashboards and trace end-to-end transaction latency via Dynatrace.

  • Data Replication (Preferred): Support Oracle GoldenGate and HVR for real-time data synchronisation between Oracle platforms and external data warehouses such as Snowflake.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven track record as an Oracle Database Administrator/Engineer within large-scale enterprise environments.

  • Hands-on expertise with Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) and Oracle RAC.

  • Strong automation capabilities using Python and Ansible.

  • Eligibility to live and work in Europe.
