Oracle DevOps Architect
Summary
Designs and automates Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments using Terraform and Ansible, builds CI/CD pipelines, and secures OCI workloads with DevSecOps practices.
- 5-7+ years of hands-on delivery experience on DevOps or Cloud Engineering.
- At least 3 End to End Implementation experience on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
- Deep understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and its services (Networks , IAM , Databases, Oracle Integration Cloud , Cloud Guard
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, Java or Ruby for writing automation scripts
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes (OKE), VBA, Github , Storages and configuration management
- Deep understanding on OCI Identity Access Management (policies, usergroups , dynamic group, application roles)
- Familiarity on federation with Oracle Fusion Cloud
- Deep understanding on PaaS Services and how each component play the role in the overall infrastructure and integration architecture.
Qualifications / Other Requirements
- Experience in Agile delivery and Scrum methodology
- Willing to work on shifting schedule as needed
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Certification is a plus
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include, but are not limited to
- Infrastructure & Deployment Automation
- Design and manage OCI cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform , Ansible and OCI Resource Manager to provision and manage cloud resources.
- Build and optimize end to end continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using tools such as Jenkins , Github Actions or OCI DevOps service
- Database & Fusion Apps Support
- Handles database lifecycle management (patching , cloning, backup) including Oracle Autonomous Database (ATP/ADW) and Oracle Fusion Applications
- Establish DevSecOps practices, implement IAM policies, manage compartments and secure Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs) using OCI Security List and Network Security Groups
- Performance Optimization
- Monitor system health , identify bottlenecks and optimize cloud workloads (including compute instances , storages and databases) for maximum scalability
- Soft Skills
- Strong technical workshop facilitation, capable of translating complex technical processes into infrastructure specifications.
