Oracle DevOps Engineer

Summary

Designs, deploys, and secures Oracle Cloud Infrastructure resources and automates CI/CD pipelines for Oracle SaaS apps like HCM and ERP Cloud.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • OCI Management: Design, deploy, and manage OCI resources including compute, networking, storage, and identity services.
  • OCI Security, Monitoring & Cost: Implement and maintain security policies, monitoring, and cost optimization strategies in OCI.
  • Automation & Provisioning: Automate provisioning and configuration using tools like OSMH or Resource Manager.
  • Oracle Applications Support: Collaborate with functional teams to support Oracle HCM and ERP Cloud modules. Manage integrations, object migration, and updates for Oracle SaaS applications. Troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues between OCI and Oracle applications.
  • DevOps & Automation: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Oracle-related deployments using tools like GitHub. Automate routine tasks and deployments to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors. Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like OCI Monitoring, Grafana, or Prometheus.
  • Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with developers, DBAs, and system administrators to ensure seamless deployment and operations. Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures. Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Familiarity with Oracle HCM and ERP Cloud modules and their operational requirements.
  • Understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
  • Amenable to shifting schedule.

Other Requirements

  • OCI certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate/Professional).
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Experience in Azure Cloud Management
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and change management processes.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Knowledge, certifications in UNIX Server management/Support
  • Knowledge, certifications in Windows Server management/Support
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Github).
