Oracle Operations Engineer
The opportunity sits within a major Corporate Banking Transformation program, which is the second-largest initiative within the financial institution. The program supports lending, payments, and company credit for large and medium-sized enterprises. The average payment value is around €1 million, with approximately €300 billion processed through the system on a daily basis.The overall program consists of around 30 squads, with 10–12 IT professionals per squad. Within this initiative, this specific opportunity is linked to the platform team, which consists of DevOps engineers. They are responsible for 15 environments in total: 7 development environments, 7 test environments, and 1 production environment.
You will join a highly collaborative, self-organized, and meticulous team. To thrive in this role, you should be detail-oriented, focused, and a natural fit for this type of close-knit environment. Additionally, you will play a key role in making our hybrid on-site/nearshore model work smoothly in practice. This includes traveling to our office for a few days every 6 to 12 weeks.
Regarding the work organization, there is also an on-call and weekend component, but it is very well-structured within the team:
• On-call duty: You would be on call for one week every six weeks. It is usually quite calm, with typically just one issue coming up per day.
• Weekend shifts: Around once every six weeks, there is a weekend that requires some work, mostly related to system releases.
