We are seeking an experienced Oranga Manager to join the Manaaki Ora – Tipu Ora team and provide leadership across a diverse portfolio of health and social services.
The Oranga Manager is responsible for ensuring our services are delivered with a consistently high level of integrity, cultural and clinical excellence, while meeting contractual, legal, professional, and organisational requirements.
The role provides operational leadership across services including FASD, Community Dental, Hei Tau Te Mauri – Mate Wareware, and Tuku Awhikiri – Immunisation Outreach, with further services potentially being added to the portfolio.
The Oranga Manager will lead, coordinate and monitor service delivery, staff performance, quality, compliance and outcomes, while supporting an integrated, whānau centred approach across Manaaki Ora.
We welcome applications from experienced leaders with:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in management, health, social services or a related field.
- Experience managing health and/or social services, preferably within a kaupapa Māori setting.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Te Ao Māori, tikanga Māori, Māori models of wellbeing and Whānau Ora.
- Proven operational, people and budget management experience.
- Strong understanding of relevant health and social service legislation, professional standards and quality frameworks.
- Excellent relationship management, communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
- A commitment to continuous quality improvement and achieving positive outcomes for whānau.
- A current clean New Zealand driver's licence.
