Description

About the role

The Change Manager is the Company's client-side owner of change governance and readiness for a regional enterprise transformation across Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan, in which a legacy core business system is being replaced. The transformation changes business processes, ways of working, organisational roles, responsibilities and decision rights, and requires a genuine shift in mindset and behaviour. The role sets the strategy, governance standards, methodologies and acceptance criteria for change management, training, business and organisational readiness, Operational Support Package readiness, IT service readiness, and physical and technical site readiness. The Change Manager governs the quality, completeness and standard of deliverables and does not personally produce them. The Change Manager provides an objective, client-side readiness assessment and a go/no-go recommendation at each phase gate.

Key responsibilities

  • Define the Company's change strategy, governance framework, methodology, minimum standards, templates, evidence requirements and deliverable acceptance criteria.

  • Define roles, decision rights and quality gates between the Company, business leaders, People & Culture, IT, the SI and the change network.

  • Design, execute, and iterate an end-to-end OCM strategy tailored for a greenfield ERP implementation across all manufacturing operational departments.

  • Govern change risks, dependencies, assumptions, issues and remediation actions through the integrated program RAIDO process.

  • Conduct comprehensive Change Impact Assessments (CIAs) to identify how process, system, and role changes impact employees—from executive stakeholders to shop-floor operators.

  • Define and govern the business and organizational readiness framework, criteria, scorecards and evidence requirements.

  • Establish and govern an integrated change-impact register covering process, role, organization, policy, control, data, technology and ways-of-working impacts, with accountable business owners.

  • Develop and deliver clear, multi-channel communication campaigns in both Bahasa Melayu and English to explain the "why," benefits, and impacts of the ERP project.

  • Partner with Project Leadership and HR to ensure leadership visibility and consistent messaging across all shifts and production lines.

  • Own the client-side business, organisational, adoption and operational-readiness assessment and provide the readiness component of the integrated phase-gate and go-live submission.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in organisational change, business readiness, adoption, deployment readiness or service transition, including at least one large-scale core-system or ERP transformation.

  • Experience assessing end-to-end impacts on process, roles, responsibilities, capacity, decision rights, controls and organisational structures.

  • Experience defining and governing change or readiness standards in a Systems-Integrator-led model and objectively reviewing SI-produced deliverables.

  • Experience establishing stakeholder, communications, leadership, training, change-network, resistance-management and adoption approaches across multiple functions or countries.

  • Experience with deployment, cutover, hypercare, transition to support, operational-readiness and site-readiness assurance.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, business owners, IT, People & Culture and vendors without formal line authority.

  • Multi-country delivery experience, ideally across Asia Pacific.

  • Fluent in Bahasa Melayu to engage effectively with operational teams, plant staff, and shift workers on-site.

  • Direct experience with greenfield implementation environments is highly preferred.

  • FMCG, manufacturing, supply-chain or consumer-goods experience (Desirable).
