OT Systems Engineer - Data Centre Resilience & Security

STACK Infrastructure is seeking an OT Systems Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure OT infrastructure for hyperscale data centre environments in the Siziano/Milan area. You will work with BMS, EPMS, and other critical site systems, delivering hands-on support across Windows/Linux, VMware, and automation tasks.

Based onsite near Milan, the role requires collaboration with internal teams and vendors to ensure performance, reliability, and security in a high-availability setting.

Deploy, configure, maintain, and optimise OT systems infrastructure across critical data centre environments. Support Windows, Linux, VMware, and virtualised platforms to maintain performance, resilience, security, and service continuity. Monitor system performance, identify issues or bottlenecks, and implement improvements for high availability. Troubleshoot complex incidents with internal teams and vendors; drive root cause resolution and preventive actions. Support monitoring, patching, backup, maintenance, and documentation across OT systems. Apply security, operational, and regulatory best practices in high-availability environments. Participate in out-of-hours or emergency support to maintain service continuity. Experience as a Systems Engineer in enterprise, critical infrastructure, or data centre environments. Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows and Linux systems, VMware-based virtualization, and secure, high-availability infrastructure. Experience with troubleshooting, systems administration, and operational support in complex technical environments. Understanding of security best practices, patching, backup, and system resilience. Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or Ansible is beneficial. Familiarity with OT systems such as BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PLCs, or HMIs would be an advantage. Knowledge of Azure/cloud infrastructure or Microsoft/VMware certifications would be beneficial. Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills; English proficiency at B2/C1.
