Outbound Warehouse Supervisor

The Outbound Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all outbound warehouse operations, including order picking, packing, staging, loading, and shipping activities. This role ensures customer orders are processed accurately, safely, and delivered on time while maintaining inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.


The Outbound Warehouse Supervisor leads warehouse personnel, monitors productivity and service performance, enforces safety and quality standards, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. The position is accountable for meeting key performance indicators (KPIs), optimizing warehouse processes, and driving continuous improvement to enhance customer satisfaction and operational excellence.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Oversee daily order fulfillment, picking, packing, staging, loading, and shipping activities.
  • Ensure all customer orders are processed accurately and dispatched within established timelines.
  • Monitor the accuracy of order picking, packing, and shipping processes.
  • Ensure all outbound shipments comply with customer requirements and company standards.
  • Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, shortages, and delivery issues.
  • Supervise, coach, and motivate warehouse associates and team leaders.
  • Conduct training, performance evaluations, and provide ongoing development opportunities.
  • Manage attendance, scheduling, and workforce allocation to meet operational demands.
  • Coordinate with Inventory Control and other departments to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Monitor inventory movements related to order fulfillment and shipping activities.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation practices such as FIFO and FEFO are followed.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, picking productivity, and shipping efficiency.
  • Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational targets.
  • Enforce warehouse safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct safety briefings, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Ensure proper use of warehouse equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with Buying, Planning, Sales, Inventory, and other department teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and shipment execution.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and logistics providers, and customers regarding shipment schedules and concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Ensure staging, loading, and dispatch areas comply with 5S and operational standards.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on outbound performance, shipment status, manpower utilization, and operational issues.
  • Analyze trends and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize outbound processes, reduce costs, improve productivity, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in projects related to warehouse optimization and operational excellence.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities and special projects as directed by management in support of warehouse and logistics operations.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of warehouse operations experience and 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and RF scanning devices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong supervisory, coaching, and team development abilities. Ability to manage workforce scheduling, labor planning, and performance management. Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and performance metrics.
  • Experience monitoring and improving key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, productivity, on-time shipments, and customer service levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments, transportation providers, and customers.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Ability to enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required.
