Outfitting Manager
Immediate Start | Outfitting Manager | Maritime & Heavy Engineering
Ready to lead complex outfitting projects from installation through to commissioning?
We’re looking for an experienced Outfitting Manager to take ownership of outfitting activities across maritime vessels and heavy engineering projects. This is a key leadership role overseeing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage engineers, supervisors, and skilled trades teams
- Plan, coordinate, and drive outfitting activities against project schedules
- Oversee installation of mechanical, electrical, piping, HVAC, and interior systems
- Work closely with design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure performance and compliance
- Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and optimise resources
- Support commissioning, inspections, and final project handovers
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in an Outfitting Management role
- Strong background in shipbuilding, maritime, offshore, or heavy engineering environments
- Excellent knowledge of marine systems, mechanical, electrical, and piping installations
- Experience with project planning, scheduling, and resource management
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MS Project, or similar software is advantageous

Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Typically requires undergraduate degree and staff and/or technical project/process management experience, or equivalent.
