Outpatient Nurse
We are looking for a qualified and compassionate Outpatient Nurse to provide safe, effective, and patient-centred nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform patient triage, assessment, and vital signs monitoring.
Administer medications, vaccines, and prescribed treatments.
Provide paediatric, preventive, and routine outpatient nursing care.
Respond to emergencies and assist with resuscitation.
Perform nursing procedures, wound care, and intravenous therapy.
Educate patients and caregivers on treatment and preventive healthcare.
Maintain accurate patient records in the hospital management system.
Ensure proper use of medical supplies and nursing equipment.
Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Report incidents and participate in quality improvement activities.
Maintain professional competencies and participate in continuing professional development.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution.
Current Nursing Council of Kenya registration and valid practising licence.
Relevant post-registration nursing experience.
Competence in patient assessment, triage, medication administration, and emergency care.
Knowledge of paediatric nursing, vaccination, and infection prevention.
Current resuscitation training.
Valid ETAT-Plus and Phlebotomy certifications, as required.
Good communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
Proficiency in nursing documentation and hospital management systems.
Commitment to professional ethics, patient safety, and continuous professional development.
Hepatitis B vaccination as required by hospital policy.
